Assess Individual Skill Levels with More Accuracy

You are probably familiar with a USGA Handicap and how it is calculated.

LinxTracker does not calculate an official handicap but we calculate a Round Index. The Round Index is your actual scoring ability. A USGA Handicap Index is an estimation of potential scoring ability using only the 10 best scores of the last 20 rounds.

Those discarded rounds reveal where a player needs help the most, where YOU provide the most value.

LinxTracker’s Round Index calculates all of your most recent 20 rounds (using a similar formula to the USGA Handicap formula). LinxTracker’s Round Index it is much more useful and realistic in determining true performance.

“Handicap” Each Type of Golf Shot

The PAR is a golf skills test that establishes a PAR Index (“handicap”) for each golf skill: putting, chipping, pitching, bunker shots, driving, 100 yard approach shots, and 150 yard approach shots. Your student may have a handicap of 11.8 overall, but what is it for Chipping? Driving? Putting? Bunker shots? Use the PAR and quickly establish a benchmark.

The PAR is a series of standardized test shots, taken at the practice range, that simulate game conditions. The test is scored and the results give you your PAR Index for each section. Use it to focus practice sessions, as a skills assessment, measure progression over time, or as way to make your lessons more fun and relevant.
